MMM: CHP Supercar Run
Background on Autoblog.
I used to like Mitsubishi’s, particularly the old school L200 pickups and the Galant with the weird embedded bonnet, but they went off around the time the last generation Colt with the teatray spoiler came out, and then followed it up with the hugely hugly WTC Lancers.
I like this though, despite it’s relative ordinariness. And because it’s a Ralliart, it has a stonking (sorry) great 3.8 litre V6 under the bonnet. Maybe Mitsubishi is back on track.
Note the tracks on the ground and the angle of the wheels btw. Someone’s been naughty. :)
Autoblog and several others seem to think this is “awesome”, I don’t see it meself. But since I’m all about my fans*, here it is, just for you.
The bike is crap too, imho. Although I like the way they got “SPA” into the video.
* Fans may not exist. Do not eat. Running in, please pass.
I hadn’t even heard of this car before Jalopnik told me it’s now certified by Guinness World Records as the fastest production car at a two-run average of 256.19 mph. Only $585,900 on eBay!
SSC stands for Shelby SuperCars by the way. Yes, that Shelby. I’m not a fan, with the sole exception of the Cobra. I’ll stick with the Lamborghini or the Koenigsegg if it’s all the same with you.
Jalopnik calls this The Puppy Crusher, and who are we to argue with them, or it!?
What a great rod.
The owner of this sez Mel Gibson’s a wuss. Lethal Weapon my ass.
