Subject: Joe Gavin is Rubbish

Dear Cork North Central Councillor,

I'm a tenant in Margaret Street, off George's Quay (which for some bizarre 
reason - I'm guessing gerrymandering - is in the Cork North Central 
constituency). This is the scene at the end of my street at the moment, 
about 25 yards from my front door. It's disgusting.

I would appreciate if you'd ask Joe Gavin this question on my behalf 
please:

Mr. Gavin, with regard to your comment in the Irish Examiner this morning 
("we will gather evidence and prosecute illegal dumpers. We will pursue 
them through the courts"), I would like to know exactly how you're going 
to track down dumpers in streets where rubbish is gathered centrally for 
collection, which I imagine would account for a pretty large portion of 
the city centre? Are you going to have the Gardaí "stake out" the streets? 
Are you going to do it yourself? This waste management plan is simply 
unworkable, would you please just stop trying to save face, admit you made 
a mistake, and /fix/ it. NOW!
